Welcome to the Student Startup Landing Pad
The Student Startup Landing Pad was launched at the Gold Coast Innovation Hub incubator space in 2018, powered by Startup Apprentice and co-funded with the support of Study Gold Coast’s Vision 2020 fund.
The project provides young innovators up to age 24 with the space, resources and support to continue working on their business ideas after participation in school and university led programs or competitions such as the Mayor’s Telstra Technology Awards and Startup Weekends.
The Gold Coast Innovation Hub was launched in 2017 and is located at Suite 2A, 15 Lake Street, Varsity Lakes.
The Innovation Hub launched with the support of the Queensland Government, City of Gold Coast and over 20 corporate partners committed to driving a new digital economy on the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast Innovation Hub runs programs, spaces and invents designed by innovators, for innovators, where startups and scale-ups can connect, collaborate, grow, raise investment and expand into global markets.

Students that are accepted into the Student Startup Landing Pad Program will receive:
Positioned in the heart of the Innovation Hub the landing pad will also allow opportunities for students to interact and converse with dozens of digital and technology based businesses that utilise the workspace and will be assisted on their startup journey by an ‘innovator in residence’ and hub community mentors who will work to support the young entrepreneurs.
Free residency in the student landing pad for a school term
Introductions to networks of investors, mentors and strategic partners
Access to a community that supports young entrepreneurs
Business advice and access to services to help young innovators to grow their business.
Application Process
Due to ongoing social distancing restrictions the Student Startup Landing Pad is not currently accepting new members.
You are welcome to submit an application to join the Student Startup Landing Pad and we will keep you informed of alternate online options that you can access to support your business idea.
